A mother, Samantha Lynn Isabel has been tagged “Virgin Mary”after she conceived a baby at 19 without engaging in intercourse.

Isabel from Massachusetts, U.S, opened up on being left in shock after learning five years ago that she was expecting a baby boy.

The conception happened despite her never engaging in penetrative sex with her boyfriend, she however admitted that they had fooled around together in the past.

The 26-year-old mother said she took a pregnancy test after suffering cramps and a late period. After visiting the doctor, her five weeks pregnancy was confirmed.

Samantha shared her incredible story in a Tik Tok as she revealed her son Bentley, is now 5. As at the time of filing this report, the video has amassed over 1.4 million views.

I read you can get pregnant during foreplay,” she said in the clip.

Samantha’s case is an extremely rare example of conception without penetrative s.e.x which is believed to account for just 0.5% of all pregnancies, according to a study of 7,870 women published in the British Medical Journal.

Sperm has to get into a vagina in order for pregnancy to happen,” Dr. Lincoln told BuzzFeed.

It doesn’t matter what puts it there — whether it’s a p*nis, finger, turkey baster, you name it — but once it’s there, it can travel through the cervix, into the uterus, and rendezvous with an egg in the fallopian tube and fertilise it.

According to the NHS, the probability of getting pregnant without having sex is “very low” but remains a possibility.

Samantha disclosed that she has accepted being called “Virgin Mary” the rest her life by friends and family.

She said said her relationship with the man for whom she fell pregnant is still active and is now the mum to a second son.
