3 WEEKS LATER

I was sitting in my official car driving to my working place. I received an email two weeks ago informing me that i have gotten the job. I knew fully well that my boss Mrs bukky was however responsible for everything and i was grateful to her.

Anita has put an end to her runs biz. Me and her both went to our pastor and confessed everything. He prayed for the both of us and ever since, we have been living a righteous life.

NESCO BREWING COMPANY

I drove my car into the space where i usually park it. I got down and looked at my wrist watch, the time was 7:15 am. Yea, i came to work very early.

I walked into the company and the cleaners were busy doing their job. I got to my desk and it was already cleaned. I sat down, said a short prayer and raised my head only to see my best friend tobi standing in front of me smiling

Me: ah ah, this one wey you come early hope say we go celebrate am.

Tobi: you no serious, where your loving mummy na, she never come office.

Mrs bukky was later nicknamed loving mummy ever since i started working there. This is because, she suddenly became nice to everyone especially me.

She usually get me gifts and other things and i will collect happily with an open mind. Sometimes, we do go out for lunch at the same time.

Soon enough, the people started gossiping about us but i didn’t care. after all, man must talk.

Me: you dey craze abi, i resemble her gateman abi i be her guardian angel?

Tobi: no be so na, i think say she dey live with you. Not like your wife oo because she is too old to be your wife but your mother!

He said and we both laughed.

Tobi: ehn ehn, before i forget, you don hear the latest news.

Me: *opening my ears wide* no, tell me abeg.

Tobi: see mumu wey no dey Watch news. Well, one boy like this wey him name na Samuel dey miss.

Me: talk true, who be the boy maself?

Tobi: i no know oo, the worst thing be say neighbours say dem see am with one old woman for house and ever since then, him never comot!

Me: na wow o, make dey find inside of the house wella, may be he don enter inside pot.

I said and we both laughed. He left for his office and i was going through some files when someone called my name, i look up and saw Mrs bukky looking at me with a beautiful smile.

She was very beautiful and i wonder why tobi said she was very old when she is not.

Mrs bukky: *smiling* Idriss

Me: Goodmorning ma

Mrs bukky: stop calling me ma, just Bukky is enough.

I was surprised and other workers were looking with mouth agape.

Me: ok Bukky

Mrs Bukky: thats nice my dear, meet me in my office when you are less busy.

She said and left.
