The executive Governor of Plateau State Barr Caleb Mutfwang says his administration is fully aware of the drowning situation in the energy sector that has hindered its development.
Jayfm correspondent Keshia Jang reports that the governor made this statement through the Hon Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy Bashir Datti at the Ground Breaking Ceremony for providing fifty kilowatts Solar Minigrid power to the people of Many town in Qua’apan Local government area of Plateau State.
Barr Mutfwang explained that the state has provided counterpart funding for some of the partnership as he assures the private sector and development Partners of his administration’s continuous to work with them.
Also speaking at the event, the Managing Director Plateau State Energy Cooperation Engr Ponzing Gamde charged the people of Namu to guide the solar panels against theft so they can last long, and the executive chairman of Qua’apan Local government Hon Christopher Manship lauded governor Mutfwang for the recommending his Local government for the Solar installation as it will change the economic fortune of his people.
Similarly, the speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly RT Hon Gabriel Dewan through the member representing Qua’apan North constituency and Chairman House committee on Water Resources Hon Owen noted that the Solar installation will save the community money spent on energy.
