The West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) has come out to debunk a report of a leaked mathematics examination question paper.

The Senior School Certificate Examination, which started today, August 17 and it will go on till Sept. 7, was said to have had a leaked mathematics question paper circulated on social media on Sunday night.

A Nigerian @iotama22, took to Twitter to write, “WAEC maths paper scheduled for today has leaked since weekend according to sources.”

“What kind of a country is this for God’s sake? I hope the people responsible will be investigated and punished as appropriate.”

However, WAEC has now come out to call the reports fake.“This is fake.” they said.

“Scammers do this every year. Only gullible candidates fall prey.”
