The late Lt. Gen. Jeremiah Timbut Useni, former FCT Minister, was laid to rest on Saturday in his family’s burial ground at Telam Village, Pilgani Road, Langtang North LGA, Plateau State.

He passed away in France on January 22, 2025, at the age of 82.

Useni, fondly known as Baba Mai Tuwo (Father with Food), was interred beside his wife, Mrs. Julie Useni, and their son, Danjuma Nancwat Useni, both victims of the tragic EAS plane crash in May 2002.

At the funeral service, held at the COCIN RCC church in Langtang, Plateau State Governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang reflected on the late general’s final days, which were dedicated to forgiveness and reconciliation.

He urged the community to embrace these values, emphasizing that peace in the state can only be achieved through mutual forgiveness and understanding.
